Dr. Timothy Daniel is a Data Scientist in the Data Management Platform at FirstEnergy, where he serves as the technical lead for the vegetation analytics squad. In this role, he applies machine learning and remote sensing techniques to improve vegetation management and grid reliability. Prior to joining FirstEnergy, Dr. Daniel worked as a Scientist at the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Panama City Division. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Washington State University. His professional interests include machine learning, remote sensing, and big data.
