Matt Anderson is a Senior Data Scientist in Data Analytics for the Analytics Center of Excellence at Salt River Project. He has over 25 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and application design across utilities, healthcare, finance, and higher education.

Matt has held analytics roles at University of Phoenix, UnitedHealth Group, Freedom Financial Network, and Salt River Project. His work focuses on turning complex data into clear insights that drive decisions, improve processes, and increase efficiency.

He specializes in Power BI, Tableau, and SQL development across platforms such as SQL Server, Hadoop, BigQuery, and Snowflake. He partners directly with business users to define requirements, build scalable reporting solutions, and deliver data products aligned to business needs.

Matt played a key role in launching Power BI at SRP, leading tenant setup, governance, and user enablement. He has trained more than 300 users and regularly leads sessions on advanced analytics topics such as data visualization, SQL writing, and Snowflake.

He founded the Analytics Development Program, a companywide initiative designed to build analytics skills and career paths. The program has trained over 200 employees through structured, hands-on coursework focused on real-world application.

Matt holds an MBA and multiple technical certifications, including Power BI Associate and Tableau Specialist. He is known for clear communication, strong technical depth, and a practical approach to solving business problems with data.
