Methane Management: A Panel Sharing Best Practices & Collaboration Across Utilities

Explore how innovative partnerships and utility to utility collaborations are transforming methane leak detection across the industry. For the past five years, Duke Energy has leveraged satellite and advanced leak detection technologies to find and fix leaks faster. Partnering with Accenture, they’ve also developed a powerful technology platform to prioritize field work and track key metrics. When Baltimore Gas & Electric started a similar initiative, Duke Energy and Accenture leaned in to share valuable lessons learned. The team will facilitate a panel discussion to deep dive into outcomes achieved and lessons learned about data and technology, operations, stakeholder management, and collaboration.

  • What type of data and technology helps address methane emissions?
  • How do you gather buy in from stakeholders and regulators?
  • What is different about methane leak detection using Advanced Methane Leak Detection (AMLD)?
  • What do you wish you knew before you started this journey?
  • How can others leverage the learnings and experience from others?
