Michael Yang currently leads the Forecast and Analysis team in CenterPoint Energy, where he manages the gas supply forecasting, statistical analysis, and econometric modeling activities that support the acquisition of economical, reliable and flexible gas supply, storage and transportation services for CenterPoint Energy’s gas distribution operations which serves over 3.4 million customers in six states across US. He manages the development of long-term forecasting models that support gas procurement planning activities and short-term forecasting models that make daily gas flow scheduling recommendations on all upstream pipelines.
Mr. Yang earned a master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Minnesota at Twin Cities and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Nankai University in China.
