Jay Singh joined PG&E in 2015 and currently serves as Senior Director of Electric Asset Knowledge Management. In his role, he is responsible for driving the strategic mindset, capabilities and programs that ensure electric assets are “known”, data is managed as an asset, and analytic insights are delivered that mitigate wildfire, operational, and safety risk. This includes ownership of Electric GIS systems, leadership over LiDAR acquisitions and 3D Digital Twin Programs, and delivery of Machine Learning and GenAI products that predict failure and ignitions over the asset lifecycle. Additionally, he is responsible for proliferating the accessibility, integration, and use of all electric asset registry, work, inspection, operations and vegetation management data into PG&E’s Palantir Foundry and GIS Platforms to deliver on PG&E’s purpose and stands. Jay has 23-years’ experience in Public and Private Utility operations. He has served as Electric Asset Knowledge Management leader since its formation in September 2019. Prior to serving in that role, Jay led the company’s internal investigations into the October Fires and Camp Fire, led the Vegetation Management, Electric Compliance, and Electric Risk Programs, and served in other capacities within the Electric distribution maintenance organizations at PG&E. Jay received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electric Engineering from California Polytechnic State University and is a California licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering.
