Will Nation is a Senior Data Analyst at the Midcontinent Independent System Operator Inc. (MISO). MISO is an independent, not-for-profit, member-based organization responsible for keeping the power flowing reliably and cost effectively across its region of 15 U.S. states and the Canadian province of Manitoba. MISO facilitates one of the world’s largest energy markets with more than $33 billion in annual transactions. Will has spent his entire career in the energy industry, starting on a project at NREL before moving to ComEd where he worked on the Emerging Technology team and DER Engineering team. Will joined MISO in 2024 on the Digital Solutions and Business Intelligence team, continuing his passion for energy, making work easier for others with code, and more insightful with data. Will has 11 industry publications, is an inventor on 2 filed patents and holds a bachelor’s in science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
