Jeff Birkmeier is Sr. Utility Industry Specialist at Optelos, where he applies his 30+ years of utility industry leadership experience to help develop Optelos’ power utility offering and strategy. Jeff began his career with ComEd, an Exelon company, in 1993 at the Braidwood Nuclear Station, progressing through roles of increasing responsibility in Project Management, Business Process Management, Resource Management, and Strategic Planning. Jeff retired from ComEd in 2024 as Sr. Manager of Strategic Planning in the Grid Analytics department. Jeff holds a BS in Nuclear Engineering and an MS in Radiation Protection from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Master’s in Management of Information Systems from Benedictine University.
