Eversource is turning their thinking outside-in to design and deliver programs that meet the clean energy needs of their commercial and industrial (C&I) customers.
Energy providers have historically focused on the safe, reliable delivery of energy at a reasonable cost while meeting customer expectations. However, as climate change legislation increases, energy providers must increase service by providing energy efficiency, electric mobility, demand response, and clean energy solutions for their commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. To do this successfully, utilities need to understand the businesses they serve because C&I customer energy usage varies much more dramatically than that of residential customers.
Eversource Energy will demonstrate how adding third party data about C&I customers helps fill in the gaps to build a clearer picture of their C&I customer energy needs.
Participants who join this Eversource Energy session will learn:
- How adding third party data can expand a utility’s understanding of its customers.
- How to avoid pitfalls when assembling and cleaning data sets.
- How an analysis of properly framed research questions can enhance program offerings.
